This project was a new building to house Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management’s Office and Household Hazardous Wastes Collection. This facility features a spacious community gathering area equipped with restrooms and a kitchenette, designed to support staff training, educational programs, and community events.  The fully drive-thru facility provides convenient, climate-controlled drop-off for a wide range of recyclables, including cardboard, electronics and appliances, motor oil and filters, vegetable oil, household hazardous waste and more.  The building utilizes excess heat and energy from the Resource Recovery Facility, making it an energy-efficient addition to the campus.  Electric vehicle charging stations were also installed to further support sustainable practices.
